With a name like Gunpowder Green Tea, it's no wonder this tea has a hint of smokiness. But the peculiar name is actually associated with the shape - tightly rolled green tea leaves that resemble pellets of gunpowder. These compact leaves keep the flavor freshly packed inside, so when steeped, the leaves open to release the bold, smooth taste of this antioxidant-rich green tea.
To make one cup, simply add one teaspoon of Gunpowder Green Tea to a tea ball, and steep in a cup of 170-180F water, for about 2-3 minutes.
If you like a minty touch to your green tea, try our Moroccan Mint Tea - a combination of gunpowder green tea with spearmint and peppermint leaves.
